I had a great experience working with Paul’s Nursery from start to finish. They helped me select several fruit trees and handled the installation, and the entire process was smooth and professional. The team was knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and clearly cared about doing the job right. The trees were healthy, well-planted, and everything was done with attention to detail. I highly recommend Paul’s Nursery to anyone looking for quality fruit trees and reliable installation.

It saddens me to come to this page and see only 4 stars for this stellar business. It almost makes me wonder if the reviewers left their review on the wrong page. I experienced exactly zero of the negative experiences described in some of these reviews. I responded to their ad on facebook and was pleasantly surprised every step of the way! Communication was prompt, professional, respectful, courteous, and most certainly not aggressive. The staff was extraordinarily accommodating, going out on a limb (See what I did there?) to ensure my satisfaction. I purchased a Persian Lime tree from them. They delivered AND planted it at no additional charge – and I live over FIFTY MILES from their site! Upon delivery, the tree was already laden with fruit! This was a birthday gift for my sister. Growing up in Northern Michigan, she would have never dreamed that one day she would have a lime tree in her backyard. THANK you, Shelsea, Paul & staff for taking my sister’s Florida Dreams to the next level. We will definitely see you again!!!

For Christmas 2020 I bought my wife 5 citrus trees from Paul's Nursery. He picked out some very good trees, whenever I had a question he would walk me through it. Normally the first year you get very few pieces of fruit. Because of the quality of Paul's trees and his help after sale this is the first years crop.Pictures of our trees as of Christmas 2021.

This Nursery does not look beautiful from the road however, they have a huge selection and they are willing to get whatever you need from one of their other nurseries throughout the state. At this particular location they carry a lot of cold-hardy plants and many varieties of fruit and citrus. The prices are far below what you would find at other locations in the area. The owners entire family is in the nursery business throughout the state. He was raised doing this he has a large knowledge of plants for this area. I am told they also do pavers, landscaping, and irrigation.

Spring Hill, FL’s Top Nursery

Hernando County brings a distinct growing environment compared to areas further inland or south. Proximity to the Gulf of Mexico creates coastal influences that affect temperature patterns and humidity levels. Paul’s Nursery considers these regional characteristics during every Spring Hill consultation. Coastal moderation sometimes benefits cold-sensitive varieties that would struggle in colder inland spots. Sandy soils common across the area drain well, which suits citrus and most tropical species beautifully. Our team brings hands-on Central Florida experience to every property we visit. Local awareness consistently produces better orchard results than one-size-fits-all recommendations. Each Spring Hill customer gets guidance tuned to their actual conditions.

Residential growth throughout Spring Hill has brought homeowners from many different states and growing backgrounds. Newcomers often arrive with assumptions shaped by cooler climate experiences elsewhere. Paul’s Nursery patiently explains what’s actually possible in the local growing environment. Many people are pleasantly surprised by the range of varieties that thrive here. Extended warm seasons stretch productivity far beyond what northern climates allow. Sandy, well-draining soils support strong root development for most fruit tree species. Our team walks new residents through realistic expectations without overwhelming them. Understanding the full potential of their land makes orchard planning genuinely exciting.

Citrus remains the most popular starting point for fruit orchards throughout Spring Hill. Orange Trees, Tangerine Trees, and Lemon Trees rank among our most-requested varieties for local properties. Larger lots can accommodate Grapefruit Trees and Tangelo Trees with their fuller canopy needs. Compact Kumquat Trees suit smaller yards or container plantings near patios and lanais. Fragrant spring blooms add real appeal alongside the eventual harvests. Modern disease-resistant cultivars sit alongside heritage favorites on our nursery lot. Every citrus tree undergoes thorough health inspection before going home with any customer. Reliable production within reasonable establishment windows is what Spring Hill buyers regularly experience.

Tropical fruit varieties bring exciting possibilities to Spring Hill yards, especially those benefiting from coastal-moderated temperatures. Mango Trees produce heavy summer harvests once established for a season or two. Avocado Trees reward patient cultivation with rich, creamy fruit that easily surpasses grocery alternatives. Quick-growing Banana Trees create dramatic tropical character almost immediately after planting. Less common selections like Guava Trees, Star Fruit Trees, and Passion Fruit Trees produce conversation-starting harvests for families. Cold tolerance varies significantly among tropical species, making thoughtful placement important. Sheltered yard corners and south-facing walls help cold-sensitive varieties through occasional winter cold. Our team walks Spring Hill customers through these placement strategies during every visit.

Stone fruit production across Spring Hill depends entirely on selecting appropriate low-chill cultivars. Peach Trees bred specifically for Florida produce sweet, juicy fruit on local properties year after year. Plum Trees and Nectarine Trees with comparable low-chill genetics also flourish under these conditions. Subtropical Cherry Trees complete our stone fruit category nicely. Apple Trees and Pear Trees with warm-climate breeding genuinely surprise customers who came from northern states. Chill hour requirements get explained in plain, accessible language during every consultation. Trees that can’t fruit in this climate never appear on our sales lot. That honest selection process has carried our family business across more than a century of operation.

Berry bushes offer Spring Hill gardeners some of the quickest paths to homegrown fruit. Blueberry Bushes settle into local acidic soils smoothly and produce within their first or second season. Vigorous Blackberry Bushes yield generous harvests with surprisingly manageable ongoing care. Both options adapt easily to raised beds, container setups, or traditional landscape rows. Florida-developed cultivars handle our heat and humidity without faltering through summer months. Families with kids especially appreciate how easy berry picking becomes when bushes grow within reach. Pruning windows, fertilizer guidance, and seasonal expectations come standard with every bush sold. Healthy berry plants keep producing reliably for many years when basic routines are followed.

Specialty fruit trees give Spring Hill orchards distinctive character beyond standard variety choices. Fig Trees produce two seasonal crops annually under Central Florida growing conditions. Pomegranate Trees flower brilliantly in late spring before delivering their iconic ruby-colored fruit. Mediterranean Olive Trees thrive in sunny, well-drained spots common across Hernando County properties. Fast-growing Mulberry Trees produce sweet dark berries within just a few seasons of planting. Loquat Trees deliver winter fruit when most other trees rest dormant. Compact Kumquat Trees fit beautifully in patio containers or smaller planting beds. Mixing these specialty options creates orchards with harvests spread across more of the calendar year.
