I had a great experience working with Paul’s Nursery from start to finish. They helped me select several fruit trees and handled the installation, and the entire process was smooth and professional. The team was knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and clearly cared about doing the job right. The trees were healthy, well-planted, and everything was done with attention to detail. I highly recommend Paul’s Nursery to anyone looking for quality fruit trees and reliable installation.

It saddens me to come to this page and see only 4 stars for this stellar business. It almost makes me wonder if the reviewers left their review on the wrong page. I experienced exactly zero of the negative experiences described in some of these reviews. I responded to their ad on facebook and was pleasantly surprised every step of the way! Communication was prompt, professional, respectful, courteous, and most certainly not aggressive. The staff was extraordinarily accommodating, going out on a limb (See what I did there?) to ensure my satisfaction. I purchased a Persian Lime tree from them. They delivered AND planted it at no additional charge – and I live over FIFTY MILES from their site! Upon delivery, the tree was already laden with fruit! This was a birthday gift for my sister. Growing up in Northern Michigan, she would have never dreamed that one day she would have a lime tree in her backyard. THANK you, Shelsea, Paul & staff for taking my sister’s Florida Dreams to the next level. We will definitely see you again!!!

For Christmas 2020 I bought my wife 5 citrus trees from Paul's Nursery. He picked out some very good trees, whenever I had a question he would walk me through it. Normally the first year you get very few pieces of fruit. Because of the quality of Paul's trees and his help after sale this is the first years crop.Pictures of our trees as of Christmas 2021.

This Nursery does not look beautiful from the road however, they have a huge selection and they are willing to get whatever you need from one of their other nurseries throughout the state. At this particular location they carry a lot of cold-hardy plants and many varieties of fruit and citrus. The prices are far below what you would find at other locations in the area. The owners entire family is in the nursery business throughout the state. He was raised doing this he has a large knowledge of plants for this area. I am told they also do pavers, landscaping, and irrigation.

The Villages, FL’s Top Nursery

Retirement living takes a unique shape in The Villages, where active lifestyles meet some of Florida’s most desirable home sites. Many residents arrive eager to try growing things they couldn’t manage in colder northern climates. Paul’s Nursery enjoys helping newcomers discover just how much their new properties can produce. Common assumptions about what won’t grow in Florida often turn out to be wonderfully wrong. Sandy soils across most neighborhoods drain quickly, creating conditions citrus and tropical varieties genuinely love. Extended warm seasons stretch growing windows far beyond what most retirees previously experienced. Our team explains regional advantages patiently during every consultation. Realistic excitement about what’s possible makes orchard planning genuinely fun.

Home sites throughout The Villages range considerably in size and layout depending on village and section. Some properties offer generous yard space that can host multiple fruit trees with room to mature. Others present more compact planting areas where carefully chosen smaller varieties make sense. Paul’s Nursery adjusts recommendations to fit whichever scenario applies to your specific lot. Lanai gardens and patio containers have become creative solutions for residents wanting fruit without extensive in-ground commitments. Homeowner association considerations factor naturally into our planning discussions. Thoughtful assessment at the start prevents conflicts with community guidelines later. Each property gets attention tailored specifically to its real conditions.

Citrus trees lead conversations about fruit growing among most Villages residents. Orange Trees, Lemon Trees, and Tangerine Trees consistently rank as our most popular requests across the community. Tangelo Trees and Grapefruit Trees suit larger home sites with room for full canopy development. Compact Kumquat Trees thrive in containers placed on lanais or smaller in-ground spots. Fragrant spring blooms add appeal that complements the eventual harvests beautifully. Modern disease-resistant cultivars share lot space with heritage favorites at our nursery. Every citrus tree gets a thorough health inspection before going home with a customer. Solid production within reasonable establishment windows is what Villages buyers report consistently.

Tropical fruit varieties open up exciting possibilities that genuinely surprise many Villages newcomers. Mango Trees deliver heavy summer harvests once established across a season or two. Patient growers find Avocado Trees rewarding with creamy fruit that easily surpasses anything from supermarkets. Quick-growing Banana Trees bring bold, dramatic foliage and produce within remarkably short timeframes. Less common selections like Guava Trees, Star Fruit Trees, and Passion Fruit Trees produce conversation-starting harvests perfect for entertaining grandchildren and friends. Strategic placement matters considerably for cold-sensitive tropical species. Sheltered yard corners and south-facing walls help marginal varieties through occasional cooler winter nights. Each placement decision receives careful attention during our consultations.

Selecting the right low-chill cultivars determines stone fruit success across home sites in The Villages. Peach Trees bred specifically for Florida produce sweet, juicy fruit on local properties reliably. Plum Trees and Nectarine Trees with comparable low-chill genetics also flourish under these conditions. Subtropical Cherry Trees complete our stone fruit category nicely. Apple Trees and Pear Trees with warm-climate breeding genuinely surprise residents who came from northern states. Chill hour requirements get explained in plain, accessible language during every consultation. Trees unable to fruit in this climate never appear on our sales lot. That honest approach has been central to our family operation for generations now.

Berry bushes match the lifestyles of active retirees remarkably well. Blueberry Bushes settle into local acidic soils smoothly and produce within their first or second season. Vigorous Blackberry Bushes yield generous harvests with surprisingly manageable ongoing care. Raised beds and container setups work beautifully for residents wanting fruit without major yard commitments. Florida-bred cultivars handle our summer heat and humidity without struggling at all. Grandchildren visiting for family time absolutely adore picking berries straight from the bush. Pruning windows, fertilizer guidance, and seasonal expectations come with every bush sold. Healthy berry plants keep producing reliably for many years when basic routines are followed.

Beyond standard variety choices, specialty trees add real personality to Villages home sites. Fig Trees produce two seasonal crops annually under Central Florida growing conditions. Brilliant late-spring blooms on Pomegranate Trees precede their famous ruby-colored fruit each year. Mediterranean Olive Trees thrive in sunny, well-drained spots and bring distinctive silvery foliage. Rapidly growing Mulberry Trees produce sweet dark berries within just a few seasons of planting. Loquat Trees offer winter fruit when most other trees rest dormant. Compact Kumquat Trees fit beautifully into lanai containers or smaller planting beds throughout the community. Mixing these specialty options spreads orchard harvests across more of the calendar year.

Personal service across The Villages stays consistent and friendly from the first phone call onward. Trees arrive at your property in excellent condition, ready for immediate installation that same day. Proper hole preparation, root inspection, and complete initial watering are included with every planting. Specific care notes tailored to your variety and home site conditions accompany each install. Free estimates remove budget uncertainty from planning before any commitment is made. Many residents build their fruit selections gradually as they settle into community life. Follow-up questions remain welcome long after the original sale closes. Family-owned operation means real relationships with the people who serve your property.
